Foxton Locks is twenty minutes for the canal-side lunch. London is an hour by train if you’re combining country with a city break. Burghley House and gardens are forty-five minutes for the cultural day-trip.
Honest about what it isn’t
No hot tub. None of the three properties on the 14 Acres estate (The Cottage, The Loft, The Barn) have one. The romantic case here is the Hypnos bed, the dining deck, the rolling-hills view, the privacy and the walks. If a hot tub is the headline reason you’re booking, this isn’t the right cottage.
